post installation

Hi, I am new to drupal. Im a bit rusty on PHP but not illiterate.I wish to create simple market price tracking functionality for my site. ie. users submit reports on prices they have paid for a certain commodity. The site should take all these reports and calculate a "current market price." It should do some sanity checks like throwing out statistical outliers, preventing multiple submissions from the same user, and maybe weighting reports from registered users more than anonymous ones.

I just got the install up and running and will soon be recreating the forum. The only * for this site is that the forum is to be private. I dont even want to show that the site has a forum (ie hide the link) until the person is logged in.Can anyone offer some advice on how to configure things in this manner?

Hi,I installed Drupal 5.1 through Fantastico, imported Turkish language files, and now my primary link items have question marks in them for Turkish characters. I have a block listing new nodes and it shows "New" & "Updated" but only when the actual node is created/updated. I'd like to dynamically add "New comment" when a comment is added to that node.I'm using the views module.

Hey Drupalites!Is there an easy way to generate graphs and charts with a Drupal plugin? Nothing fancy, just take some data points and make a line graph with respect to time. Thought I'd check with you guys if there is an easy Drupal plugin way to do this before looking someplace else.TIA

Hi. I'm using usernode and nodeprofile and have created a form to be filled out (profile) that the user needs to be sent to the first time they they log in. Is there a way to do this only on this "first time" event?I'm not a coder at all so please be gentle.

Original images are way to big for my theme. So I'd like to open them in a separte pop-up field. The ligthbox module offers this functionality but is not yet available for drupal 5.
I would like to change the link to the original to open a new pop-up and display the original file without any theming what so ever.
